Berat Ürküt is employed as a teaching and research assistant at Koç University where he is also pursuing a master's degree in International Relations. He has a particular interest in MENA region, as well as topics like international security, migration, and comparative politics. Prior to pursuing his master's degree, he worked in the Defense Projects department of Turkish Technic. He is presently engaged in the preparation of his thesis proposal which is dedicated to migration and security.
