Charlemagne Prize
The Charlemagne Prize (Karlspreis) is an annual award presented in Aachen, Germany, honoring exceptional contributions toward European unity and integration. Named after Charlemagne, who ruled the Frankish Empire from Aachen, the prize was established in 1949 by local citizens to promote peace, solidarity, and cooperation in post-WWII Europe. Notable recipients include Winston Churchill, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and Emmanuel Macron, celebrating leadership in democratic values and European cohesion.

CRESCENT Research Center is an independent Baku-based think tank focused on Middle Eastern political, economic, and security issues. It produces policy analysis and reports, hosts forums, and examines regional geopolitics, international law, and strategic security to inform global policy debates.
Euro Prospects
Euro Prospects is an independent analysis and media platform featuring a dedicated think tank unit, the European Strategic Policy Unit. It publishes in-depth commentary, policy briefs, and analytical posts on European affairs, geopolitics, trade, defense, and integration. The platform serves as a collaborative publication space for young analysts and researchers examining key challenges facing the EU and surrounding regions.
European Policy Centre
European Policy Centre is an independent, non‑partisan think tank based in Brussels focused on European integration. It produces policy research and recommendations, convenes public debates and expert forums, and runs specialized programmes that connect diverse stakeholders to EU policymaking. Through events and policy dialogues in Brussels, the EPC informs debate on the economy, migration, security, climate and democracy to strengthen a cohesive and democratic EU.
Foreign Policy Institute (Türkiye)
The Foreign Policy Institute is an independent Turkish think tank based in Ankara. It focuses on international relations, global security, and Turkish foreign policy research. Through conferences, academic publications, policy reports, and educational programs, the institute provides a collaborative platform for strategic analysis and diplomatic discourse across Europe, the Middle East, and global regions.
Forum of Young Diplomats
The Young Diplomats Forum is a global initiative operated by the Global Diplomatic Forum (GDF) for emerging leaders in international affairs. Designed for young diplomats, government officials, and policy specialists, it delivers crisis simulations, diplomatic skills training, regional summits, and networking opportunities aimed at advancing multilateral negotiation and intergenerational dialogue.
LSESU War Studies Society
The War Studies Society at the London School of Economics Students' Union (LSESU) is a student-led organization dedicated to security studies, geopolitics, and conflict analysis. It explores the causes, actors, and dynamics of modern warfare, intelligence, and defense strategies. The society hosts expert panel discussions, practical workshops, and field trips to help prepare students for careers in public policy, defense, and global risk consulting.
European Guanxi
European Guanxi is a youth-led, non-profit think tank dedicated to fostering mutual understanding between Europe and China. Founded in 2020, it leverages the concept of guanxi—deep, reciprocal connections—to build a platform for young professionals and scholars to analyze complex geopolitical dynamics. Through its peer-reviewed journal EYPIC, annual conferences, and expert panels, it addresses critical topics like digital connectivity, climate diplomacy, and trade. By amplifying youth voices, the organization aims to build long-term trust and cooperative engagement across both continents.
British Institute for Global Affairs
The British Institute for Global Affairs (BIGA) is a UK-based think tank that promotes new discussions about the nation's role and identity in a changing world. Aiming to bridge the gap between domestic politics and foreign policy, the organization provides research and commentary to foster visionary leadership. Key initiatives include support for the Youth, Peace and Security agenda, promoting youth as agents in security.
European Horizons
European Horizons is a student‑led policy incubator strengthening the transatlantic bond and a more united Europe. With chapters at universities across Europe and North America, it convenes young leaders to develop policy ideas, publish journals like the European Policy Review, and host the European Student Conference at Yale. Members gain research, writing and leadership experience to contribute to debates on EU, NATO and global governance.
Young European Federalists (JEF Europe)
The Young European Federalists (JEF Europe) is a non‑party, youth‑led NGO advocating a democratic European federation. Through campaigns, policy proposals and a network of national and local sections, JEF promotes rule of law, human rights and citizen participation. It trains activists, runs pan‑European actions, and publishes The New Federalist, empowering youth to push institutional reform for a stronger EU.
YATA Germany
YATA Germany is the youth forum of the German Atlantic Association, fostering exchange on foreign and security policy and support for the transatlantic partnership. It brings students and young professionals together for expert talks, simulations and policy discussions, building understanding of current challenges. As part of YATA International, it links German members with allied peers and cultivates future transatlantic leaders.
On Think Tanks
On Think Tanks (OTT) maintains the Open Think Tank Directory, a public, searchable database of think tanks and policy research organisations worldwide. It helps researchers, funders, journalists and practitioners discover institutions, compare profiles and understand the global evidence ecosystem. Beyond the directory, OTT offers resources on governance, funding and communications to strengthen think tank capacity and impact.
EUROPEUM
EUROPEUM Institute for European Policy is an independent, non‑partisan think tank based in Prague focused on European integration. It produces policy research and recommendations, convenes public debates and expert forums, and runs programmes that connect Central Europe to EU policymaking. Through events in Prague and Brussels, EUROPEUM informs debate on the single market, security, climate and democracy to strengthen a cohesive EU.
European Youth Press
European Youth Press is a pan‑European network that empowers young journalists and media makers. It advances media literacy, press freedom and democratic values through trainings, reporting projects like Orange Magazine, and cooperation with member organisations. EYP equips emerging reporters with skills, networks and opportunities to cover European issues responsibly, counter disinformation, and engage in public life.
EuroDefense Europe
EuroDefense is a network of national associations across the EU that promotes debate, research, and citizen engagement on European security and defence. Through publications, conferences and national sections, it fosters strategic thinking on Europe’s sovereignty and cooperation with partners. Chapters in 14+ countries convene experts and policymakers to shape a coherent security culture and inform public understanding of defence.
European Defense Network
The European Defence Network connects students and young professionals to learn, debate and act on defence and security. Guided by the EU’s founding ideals, it offers a cross‑border, 360° perspective through articles, analysis and events, helping members move beyond national mindsets. EDN builds a community that compares national approaches and explores Europe’s evolving role in deterrence and defence.
