Marijn Rijk is pursuing a B.A. in International Public Policy and Leadership at The Hague University of Applied Sciences (NL). His research focuses on geopolitics, international relations, and the intersection of peacebuilding and peacekeeping. Currently, he serves as a Rebuild Ukraine Youth Ambassador in a programme provided by the European Youth Parliament. Driven by a passion for a broader understanding of the human condition, Marijn Rijk is deeply interested in international politics, with a particular focus on security questions.
Following 2022 sanctions, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan helped Russia bypass restrictions on dual-use goods, leading to tighter US and EU countermeasures.
In the upcoming Russian presidential elections, President Putin is expected to portray himself as the unchallenged leader, maintaining his dominance over the Russian state.
